SPSlideOnPointOpen comparison
Privacy and security

Your presentations stay in your browser.

The current SlideOnPoint comparison app opens and compares your PowerPoint files on your device. It does not upload or retain the presentations on a SlideOnPoint server.

What happens when you compare files

  • You choose the previous and current .pptx files.
  • Your browser reads their PowerPoint package contents locally.
  • The comparison result remains in the current browser session.
  • Closing or refreshing the page clears the active comparison.

Reports and clipboard actions

Exported reports are created by your browser and downloaded to the location you choose. Copying a change summary uses your browser's clipboard. SlideOnPoint does not retain either item.

Current telemetry

This build does not include product analytics or external error monitoring. Before optional launch telemetry is introduced, this page will be updated to explain exactly what is collected. File names, slide text, images and presentation contents will not be included in analytics events.

Current limits

SlideOnPoint accepts modern .pptx files up to 100 MB. Advanced PowerPoint features—such as SmartArt, grouped objects and embedded media—use nested or application-specific structures that cannot always be fully reproduced outside PowerPoint. We recommend verifying these elements in the original presentation.
