Terms of service

Clear terms for using SlideOnPoint.

These terms govern your access to SlideOnPoint. By using the service or purchasing Pro, you agree to them.

1. The service

SlideOnPoint compares supported content in two modern PowerPoint .pptx files, presents detected differences, and can generate a local PDF report. Presentation files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to SlideOnPoint servers.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these terms. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting access to your sign-in method, and notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You may not share, sell, or transfer an account in a way that circumvents plan limits.

3. Free and Pro plans

Guest and Free accounts may have stated comparison allowances. SlideOnPoint Pro currently provides the features shown on the pricing page. We may change plan features or prices prospectively, but a price change will not apply before the next renewal after reasonable notice where required.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Pro is a monthly subscription that renews automatically until cancelled. Checkout and billing are handled by Dodo Payments. You authorize the applicable recurring charge and taxes shown at checkout. You can cancel from the billing portal in your SlideOnPoint account; cancellation stops future renewals and normally leaves Pro active through the paid period. Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may not misuse SlideOnPoint, interfere with its operation, bypass usage or security controls, probe for vulnerabilities without written permission, distribute malware, use automated traffic that harms the service, violate another person's rights, or use the service unlawfully. You must have the right to access every presentation you compare.

6. Your content and confidentiality

You retain your rights in your presentations. Because files are processed locally, you control whether they are selected, exported, copied, or shared. You remain responsible for handling confidential, regulated, or third-party material appropriately on your device.

7. SlideOnPoint ownership

SlideOnPoint and its software, design, branding, and documentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of SlideOnPoint technology.

8. Comparison limitations

PowerPoint is a complex format. SlideOnPoint may not fully reproduce or detect every difference in SmartArt, grouped objects, embedded media, macros, protected files, third-party extensions, or application-specific metadata. Comparison results and reports are aids, not authoritative records. You should verify important changes in the original presentations.

9. Availability and changes

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features for security, legal, technical, or commercial reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlideOnPoint disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability for a paid claim will not exceed the amount you paid for SlideOnPoint during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access when you materially breach these terms, create security or legal risk, or fail to pay applicable charges. You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion, subject to records we must retain by law.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and disputes will be subject to courts of competent jurisdiction in India, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Questions can be sent to support@slideonpoint.com.

Effective 2 September 2026.
